The Druze community are suffering violent persecution. Men, women and children have experienced terrifying attacks and bloodshed. 32 villages were burned. The entire Suweida area remains surrounded by a military blockade and a humanitarian crisis is unfolding. Many families are desperate for provisions and require support. AMURT and AMURTEL local volunteer teams are supporting communication and distributing food.

More than one million people have been cut off by floods in northern India from the end of August. AMURT & AMURTEL volunteers rushed to the affected area immediately and have been working out several relief camps covering the districts of Madhepura, Saharsa, Araria, Purnea, Katihar Bhagalpur and surrounding areas. The teams have distributed food and non-food items to more than 10,000 people daily and  provide medical care to the most vulnerable.

Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT and AMURTEL) starting from 20th August is operating 10 relief camps in flood affected parts of North Bihar. Especial mention need be made of the camp operating from Majhaoa, which is setting an example of extraordinary dedication & courage for rescuing victims caught in the floods in their homes in Supaul district close to the Kosi Barrage. The volunteers in this camp have, till date, rescued over few hundred victims from the remote locations .

we are glad to inform you that a batch of 30 Dadas and Didis together with other margii volunteers are already working in the flood affected area of Koshi Anchal, Bihar, India. By now they have opened more than 11 camps, supplying rice, molases, sattu, khichrii, puri, vegetable, dry vegetables, match boxes, candles, clothes etc. We have also setup medical camps!
